The Company is Affordable Doors ltd.
The Purchaser is the person or their Agent buying upon their behalf and is responsible for all measurements and designs given to the Company.
All products sold on affordabledoors.co.uk are made to measure, specifically to the sizes requested by you on the order, unless stated otherwise. They are manufactured after your order has been placed and are bespoke items, custom made for you.
Your status
By placing an order through our site, you warrant that:
You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts;
You are at least 18 years old;
You are resident in the United Kingdom (mainland only); and
You are accessing our site from the United Kingdom (mainland).
How the contract is formed between you and us
After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. You have 24hrs from the time of placing your order to notify us of any changes, modifications or cancellations.
No claims for incorrect details, changes, ammendments or cancellations can be made after this point.
The Contract will relate only to Products we confirm in the Acceptance Confirmation. We will not be obliged to supply any other Products which may have been part of your order until the acceptance of such Products has been confirmed in a separate Acceptance Confirmation.
Any drawings, photographs, descriptions or advertising we issue, and any photographs, descriptions or illustrations contained on our site, are issued or published solely to provide you with an approximate idea of the Products they describe. They do not form part of the Contract between you and us or any other contract between you and use for the sale of the Products.
The product images shown are for illustration purposes only and may not be an exact representation of the product. We reserve the right to change product images and specifications at any time without notice.
Price and Payment
The price of any Products will be as quoted on our site from time to time, except in cases of obvious error.
These prices include VAT but exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due as set out in our Delivery Information
Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you an Acceptance Confirmation.
Our site contains a large number of Products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Products listed on our site may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where a Product’s correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the Product to you. If a Product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the Product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection.
We are under no obligation to provide the Product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a Acceptance Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.
Payment for all Products must be by credit or debit card or Paypal account. We accept payment with Paypal, including credit card payments. We shall not despatch any Products until we receive cleared funds. No payment shall be deemed to have been received until we have received cleared funds. Please be aware we reserve the right to not ship to unconfirmed addresses.
Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order. If there is a problem taking payment for all or part of your order, we may contact you by telephone or e-mail.

When Purchasing Products
All dimensions to be supplied in Metric. All designs are as viewed from the Outside at point of order.
Delivery
We offer Kerbside delivery.
You will need to ensure that someone is available all day on the day of delivery that is capable of assisting the driver in offloading the goods when they arrive. They will need to be capable of lifting items of up to 25kg as we only send one driver. All units and panels are supplied to site unglazed due to the safety requirements for Manual Handling.
The contract turnaround period commences from the next working day after the order has been placed.
Please be aware that our delivery time approximations are only estimates. These estimates are based on the current workload and couriers delivery capacity, but can differ depending on factors including a change in any of these elements, the availability of the materials for the product ordered and your delivery address. If your delivery is time sensitive, please contact us before you order, for a more accurate timescale.
We always use our best endeavours to deliver on the ‘Anticipated delivery date’. In the unlikely event that something delays your delivery, we will contact you to reorganise your delivery date within a reasonable period of time. We can accept no responsibly for costs incurred should a late delivery occur.
We will contact you to agree a delivery date with you prior to us actually delivering.
We cannot give timed deliveries due to our vehicles travelling across England, Wales & Scotland. Deliveries can occur between 7:00am and 7:00pm on the day of delivery. We are unable to offer timeslots however the driver will contact you 30-60 minutes in advance of the delivery.
If the Purchaser fails to be on site for an agreed delivery, the goods may be returned to us. If a re-delivery is required this can be arranged and there will be a re-delivery charge of £100.00.
For all orders returned to us due to refusal of delivery or nobody being present to receive, a storage fee of £100 per month will be payable for each unit returned, starting at the date of return, for each full month we are required to store the items. If no re-delivery has been arranged by the buyer within 12 months, we reserve the right to seize the goods to be re-sold or destroyed with no refunds given.
All risks in the goods shall pass to the Purchaser upon delivery.
The Company will do all it reasonably can to meet the delivery/collection period advised however unexpected delays can occur. In the unlikely event that these affect the Purchaser’s delivery/collection, delivery/collection will be reorganised within a reasonable period of time where possible. We accept no liability for costs incurred through a late delivery.
Damaged Goods
Should a defect occur with the goods due to the fault of the Company, we will give you appropriate options which may include a repair, replacement or partial refund. If the Company is not given a reasonable opportunity to rectify any defect, the Purchaser will not be reimbursed should he choose to rectify it himself or with a third party.
The Company reserves the right, in agreement with the Purchaser, to request an Independent Inspection of any allegedly defective goods, or to carry out a mutually agreed inspection to identify whether the goods have been properly installed, used, maintained, stored or serviced. The Company reserves the right to make a charge to cover any reasonable costs if the goods have not been properly used, installed, maintained, stored or serviced.
After delivery of the goods the Purchaser shall examine them on the day of delivery, including inspection of the goods with the protective film removed. Your order should be checked for defects or scratches on the day of delivery as we are unable to take responsibility if we have not been notified in writing or email on the day of delivery. This should be done before removing any existing windows and doors or commencing installation.
We cannot repair, replace or refund any goods after they have been installed or modified for installation. Please check the goods thoroughly before installation and do not commence installation if any defects are found.

We will request photos which clearly illustrate any defect to determine its cause prior to rectification. The invoiced customer (named person on order) will need to make contact and please include your order number so we are able to locate your order. It will take longer for the issues to be sorted with no job number.
Please note: We do not accept any claims for fitting costs incurred, please ensure you inspect the products thoroughly before installation. If a defect is found after installation, no claims can be made for the fitting, removal or re-fitting of the products.
PLEASE NOTE: We strongly advise no fitters to be booked until the items have arrived and condition checked. Please ensure all parts are present and correct before commencing installation. We cannot accept claims for any installation delays.
We will accept no liability for any time delays. We will always ensure our best to meet the delivery date advised however please note we cannot accept liability for a delayed delivery.
We do not accept any claims for damages caused to property for any reason, whether that be during the delivery process, installation process or issues such as water ingress.
Fitting Costs
We do not accept any claims for reimbursement of fitting costs in any situation, whether that be for full installation or fitting of individual replacement parts. All fitting costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
When Installing
We recommend that a qualified FENSA registered installer carries out the installation of the goods supplied. Please ensure that the general guidelines supplied with the delivery for the fitting of the goods are read and understood before commencing or organising installation. If in doubt please contact the Company’s Customer Service department by the methods stated.
Due to on-site handling, installation methods and the type of opening that the goods are being installed into, minor adjustments may need to be made by the installer.
The Company may make minor technical changes to the specification of the Purchaser’s products that will not be to the detriment of their function or appearance and will not affect the price. The Purchaser will be advised of any major changes to be approved by the Purchaser, or the Company will refund the Purchaser in full.
Before commencing your installation or hiring a third party to install your product, please ensure that the goods have been physically delivered, examined and checked for design details and sizes. Check that all parts are present and correct so that in the unlikely event that parts may be missing, wrong or damaged you ensure we have reasonable time* to arrange the delivery of the new parts before you commence installation, confirm an assembly date or prior to engaging a third party to carry out the installation.
(*Please note that a reasonable time would typically be within one to two weeks assuming replacement parts are in stock, however if we have to order or manufacture parts then the time frame will be longer). Should you use a third party to carry out the installation please ensure that you give them sufficient time to familiarise themselves with and check the materials before committing to an installation date.
Order Changes and Cancellations
As all windows, doors and other products are manufactured to the Purchaser’s specific requirements and cannot be resold, no refunds can be made after after 24 hours of of your order being placed. If you cancel your order within 24 hours you will receive a full refund. Any notification of cancellation must be made in a clear statement in writing to info@affordabledoors.co.uk
Any and all changes made to orders will be chargeable to the Purchaser at the cost of those changes as each item is bespoke. This reasonable charge will vary dependent upon the progress already made with the original order prior to any change, and the nature of the change. The costs incurred by the Company are not just limited to manufacturing and physical production costs.
Should the Purchaser become aware that they need to change their order, whether or not the extent of the change required is unknown, the Purchaser must request in writing that the order is placed ‘on hold’ so that no further processes are carried out by the Company. The order will only be taken ‘off hold’ once the Purchaser confirms their changes, if any, in writing.
The turnaround period will be restarted from the next working day after the Company is informed of any change to the order by the Purchaser. The turnaround period may change in length depending on the type of changes made. In such cases, the Purchaser will be notified of the turnaround period.

Colours & Finishes
Please note that due to differences between device screens and lighting conditions, we cannot accept any claims that the colour of the goods do not match the images on our website. We aim to give an accurate representation of our products but it is impossible to judge the exact colour of any items from a device screen due to these variances.
Colour samples and RAL numbers are available upon request for the avoidance of doubt.
When colour matching existing windows or doors, we strongly recommend that you request a colour sample.
Please note that our colour uPVC products (.ie all colours but white) have a subtle woodgrain effect finish.
Our White uPVC products have a smooth finish.
Liability
If any term or other provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid, illegal or incapable of being enforced by any rule or law, or public policy it will be severed from the Agreement. All other terms and provisions of this Agreement shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully.
Credit Card Security
All payments are processed securely.
Invalidity/Severability
If any term or other provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid, illegal or incapable of being enforced by any rule or law, or public policy it will be severed from the Agreement. All other terms and provisions of this Agreement shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.

Important
Upon receiving your goods, we recommend you follow the installation instructions carefully step by step, as we will not be held liable for damage claims due to incorrect assembly. Our Guarantees do not include cover the following should the product fail or not perform due to the following: failure to correctly assemble the goods as per the assembly instructions, wilful damage, negligence and incorrect use. Force Majeure
Under these Terms & Conditions “Force Majeure” is defined as any cause beyond our control including, but not limited to, War, Act of God, Act of Terrorism, Fire, Flood, Explosion, Natural Catastrophes, Civil/Military Disturbances, Strikes, Theft or Weather.
We will not be held liable or responsible for any failure or delay in our obligations under these Terms and Conditions if the failure or delay is caused by Force Majeure.

Conditions
Any claim must be made in writing and accompanied with a proof of purchase, details of failure and photographic evidence of failure.
The products must have been correctly installed and only subject to normal domestic use and maintenance. This includes ensuring that drainage holes are kept free of obstruction and that packers are used underneath the sealed unit to hold the sealed unit up from the bottom of the sash.
No Guarantee is offered on products subject to abuse, negligence, improper use, modifications or attachment to equipment other than our own.
The territorial scope of this agreement is the United Kingdom Only.
Exclusions
Any sealed unit with broken glass or seals that have been tampered with.
Our right to vary these terms and conditions
We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time to reflect changes in market conditions affecting our business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in our system’s capabilities.
You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you order products from us, unless any change to those policies or these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you), or if we notify you of the change to those policies or these terms and conditions before we send you the Acceptance Confirmation (in which case we have the right to assume that you have accepted the change to the terms and conditions, unless you notify us to the contrary within seven working days of receipt by you of the Products).
Law and jurisdiction
Contracts for the purchase of Products through our site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by English law. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with such Contracts or their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Complaints
We recognise the importance of service and set ourselves high standards. Should there be an occasion when we do not meet your expectations we are equally committed to dealing with any complaint in a thorough and professional manner. All complaints must be addressed within 14 days.
